A Biographical Dictionary of the Qin, Former Han and Xin Periods (221 BC - AD 24)

Ban Yi 班壹 A descendant of the Ban family from Chu, at the close of the reign of the First Qin Emperor Ban Yi fled to Loufan 樓煩 (in the later Yanmen) where he kept large stocks of horse, cattle and sheep. His wealthy resources gave him high prestige locally which his family continued to enjoy for about a century.
